Boarding...
Spencewood
Ranch boards many types of horses, from broodmares and pets
to high-goal polo ponies. Our newly remodeled barns can stall
up to 36 horses in large steel pipe pens. Each barn contains
amenities such as automatic fly repellent and watering systems.
Our
staff provides 24 hour a day, 7 day a week supervision, as
well as coordinating farrier and veterinarian services.
Both
Mr. Hobby and the stable manager, David Crea, are professional
riders with extensive backgrounds in hunter-jumper and polo.
Some of our boarders compete at high levels and rely on Andrew
and David for daily training. (Rates vary according to
services required.)
Spencewood
offers riders a variety of riding surfaces, but the most popular
are the many trails that wind through open fields, rolling
hills, woodlands and river bottom. Riders of all skill levels
can enjoy panoramic views and upclose encounters with some
of Texas' most famous flora and fauna. In early spring, the
fields are full of bluebonnets, and throughout the year you'll
see deer, rabbits, and a great variety of birds that take
refuge in our protected environment.
